Honorarium Position

Position Details: As a Co-chair of the Bags of Promise committee, you'll be at the forefront of building something truly special at Queen's University. You'll work closely with your fellow Co-chair, the Community Outreach Deputy Commissioners, and the Community Outreach Commissioner
to make a tangible and lasting impact on our community and beyond.

Mission:
At Bags of Promise, we're on a mission to change the lives of youth experiencing homelessness. According to the National Youth Homelessness
Survey, 20% of Canada's homeless population consists of youth aged 13 to 24. That's at least 35,000-40,000 young lives facing homelessness at
any given time across the country. Many of these youth carry their belongings in trash bags as they move between housing situations such as
shelters, staying with friends, vehicles, hotels, and the street. We believe in preserving the dignity of these youth, and that neither they
nor their belongings should be treated like trash. That's why we want to replace those trash bags with BOP, or Bags of Promise—reusable bags
containing essentials like hygiene items, non-perishable food, and other necessities to ease their burdens during challenging times.

Applications will be available until April 5th at 4:00pm EST.

*Eligible candidates must have paid the Arts & Science Undergraduate Membership Fee
