VOLUNTEER POSITION
Pathways to Education is a unique community-based program designed to increase high school graduation rates in designated neighbourhoods. The program offers tutoring, mentoring, financial support, and advocacy to support high school students to successfully transition to post-secondary education, training or meaningful employment.

Applications will be available until October 15th at 4:00 pm.

Time Commitment and Responsibilities:

An approximately 7-month term from October 2023 to April 2024 with a time commitment of 1-3 hours per week

  • Community volunteers will work with our partners at Pathways to Education and the Executive team to organize and execute weekly mentorship sessions with local youth.
  • Volunteers will work in a collaborative environment with co-chairs, executives, and Pathways to Education to foster a safe environment for youth to grow and gain meaningful experiences through one-on-one tutoring and mentorship sessions.
  • Volunteers may also assist in organizing and promoting our fundraising events sporadically.
  • It is recommended that volunteers have experience and interest in working with vulnerable sectors, especially youth.
  • Attends all monthly fundraising initiatives, may occasionally assist with set up/clean up, coordinating participants and merchandise sales
  • Participates in club socials and team-building events
