Advisory Board Directors (10)

Overview

The ASUS Advisory Board provides strategic advice and financial oversight for the Society. Comprising 9 directors and 1 chair, who is appointed by the Board at the beginning of the term. Effectively acting as a Board of Directors, it is an objective third-party that provides strategic advice and financial oversight. Directors work closely with the Executive, Commissioners, and Officers to oversee the distribution of resources, manage personnel, and support the financial well-being of the Society.

Application Deadline

Positions will remain open until enough candidates have applied. Once this happens, all applicants will be notified.

Time Commitment

Term: May 1st, 2025 – April 30th, 2026

Hours: Maximum 1-2 hours bi-weekly (may fluctuate based on demand)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice and financial oversight to ensure the long-term stability of ASUS.
  • Participate in appeals related to Human Resources and the CEO.
  • Oversee and manage a discretionary fund of approximately $100,000.
  • Award financial assistance requests from the Society.
  • Attend Advisory Board meetings approximately once every 3 weeks to contribute to decision-making and productivity.
