French Studies DSC Members (positions below).

The French Studies Student Council serves as the representative body for students within the department, aiming to foster an inclusive, academically enriching, and community-driven environment. Each member collaborates to promote the department's events, initiatives, and student engagement. Members work together to enhance student life through marketing, event planning, advocacy, and equity-driven initiatives.

Applications will remain open until Thursday, October 31st at 4PM, 2024.

Expected Time Commitment and Remuneration

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Social Media Director
    • Managing the French DSC social media platforms
    • Create posts to advertise events and interactive stories (On Canva)
    • Help write the newsletters for the French DSC
  • Special Event Coordinator
    • Help in the planning of event proposals and bookings
    • Lead the execution of logistics of the French DSC events
  • First Year Intern
    • Representative of first-year French students
    • Help in all DSC responsibilities
    • Communicate and help with all the DSC members
  • Finance Director
    • Being in charge of planning and overseeing the French DSC budget
    • Planning fundraisers for the French DSC
  • EDII Representative (Equity, Diversity, International, and Indigenous)
    • Representative of Equity, Diversity, International, and Indigenous students.
    • Help in all DSC responsibilities
    • Communicate and help with all the DSC members
