Assembly Scribe

The ASUS Assembly Scribe is responsible for recording the proceedings of the Arts & Science Undergraduate Society (ASUS) Assembly when they meet. This makes the scribe an integral part of the ASUS team because they are responsible for creating the record of activities undertaken by the Assembly. This is quite an exciting job in that it enables one to view the process of governing ASUS in action while creating a record for all interested Arts and Science students to view. Assembly meetings occur monthly on Thursdays and will be held in person in the Fall Semester at 7:00pm EST. Good computer skills along with typing abilities are recommended.

Qualifications

  • Must be an undergraduate student in arts and science
  • Must have received a work study entitlement from Student Awards
  • This position requires 3-5 hours of work, bi-weekly

Responsibilities

  • Attend and record minutes of the proceedings of ASUS Assembly meetings
  • Distribute copies of minutes, reports, or other documents to Assembly members
  • Help maintain the ASUS Policy and Constitution
  • Maintain a general knowledge of Assembly proceedings
  • Help set up and take down for all assemblies.
