Honorarium Position
Overview
The Director of Workforce & Professional Development (DWPD) supports students and volunteers by providing career resources, professional training, and job opportunities. This role combines workforce development and professional growth initiatives, ensuring streamlined support under the Human Resources portfolio. The DWPD oversees career events, onboarding, and networking efforts while maintaining job postings and skill-training resources. This position requires strong organizational skills, collaboration with industry partners, and the ability to enhance professional development opportunities for ASUS members.

Time Commitment and Remuneration
Term: May 1st, 2025 – April 30th, 2026
Hours: 6-8 hours per week

Honorarium Position
The Director of Workforce Development (DWD) is directly accountable to the Human Resources Officer (HRO) and shall assist the HRO in fulfilling the breadth of the office’s mandate. The Director’s primary role will in researching, developing and implementing strategies to improve societal operations as it relates to employees and volunteers.

Time Commitment and Remuneration
12-month term from May 1, 2024 to April 30th, 2025 with a time commitment of 5 hours/week
An honorarium of $500 will be awarded upon successful completion of the role
