Volunteer Position

Overview

The ASUS Exchange Buddies Chairs play a key role in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for international exchange students at Queen’s University. Reporting to the Services Commissioner, the Exchange Buddies Chairs will develop and implement the program’s vision and objectives in collaboration with the Vice-President and Services Commissioner. The primary responsibility of this position is to pair upper-year Arts and Science students with international exchange students, facilitating their integration into Queen’s University and the Kingston community through meaningful connections and engagement opportunities.

Time Commitment and Remuneration

Term: May 1st, 2025 – April 30th, 2026

Hours: 3-6 hours per week

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Match exchange students with upper-year buddies and facilitate smooth communication.
  • Organize events and initiatives to support cultural exchange and integration.
  • Ensure program activities follow ASUS policies and continuously improve the program.
  • Work with the Services Commissioner and Vice-President while supporting volunteer buddies.
