Honorarium Position
Foster a welcoming and accepting environment with your committee, encouraging students in the Queen’s community to maintain fitness and good heart health throughout the organization of unique events. Facilitate and organize events that combat stress and poor mental health and execute unique initiatives such as the annual Athlete Auction. Contribute to the Heart and Stroke Association by helping to fight one of the most prominent diseases in North America. Work closely with your Co-Chair, the Community Outreach Deputy Commissioners, and the Community Outreach Commissioner to make a tangible and lasting impact in the Queen’s community.

Expected Time Commitment and Remuneration

12-month term from May 1st, 2025 to April 30th, 2026 with a time commitment of 5 hours/week

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organize weekly meetings with the committee
  • Work with your co-chair and committee to organize and execute events and initiatives
  • Hire committee members and volunteers and act as a liaison between all parties
  • Maintain contact with the Community Outreach Deputy Commissioners and the Community Outreach Commissioner to best access ASUS resources
  • Assist in Commission-wide meetings, events and initiatives
